South American nation Argentina has revealed their new 2010 alternative World Cup shirt that they will wear at the tournament in South Africa next summer.
The Argentines are fortunate to be competing in Africa after a poor qualification campaign that saw them perform well below their best and only just qualify automatically for the tournament. The two time World Cup winners eventually finished four points clear of arch rivals Uruguay after a 1-0 victory against them in the final qualification match of the group.
The Argentina away shirt is predominately blue with a white round neck collar and sleeve trim alongside blue arm plates on the sleeves. Manufacturers Adidas place their white logo centrally below the collar whilst the three traditional white stripes are positioned down the sleeves. The Clima Cool logo is situated in the bottom left of the shirt and a white stitched hem runs across the bottom. The national Argentina badge is positioned in the top left of the shirt with two gold stars representing their World Cup successes placed above.
