19 April 2015 by

In the afternoon Kick Off on Saturday Barcelona were in action at Home to Valencia as they looked to maintain a 2 point lead at the top of La Liga and after just 1 Minute Barca were in front when Gerard Pique won the ball in his own half who played it to Sergio Busquests who played it through to Lionel Messi who turned and played in Luis Suarez who poked it in the past Deigo Alves with a first time shot but Valencia responded very well and Rodrigo came very close to levelling the Score when he ran into the box on the left and with a right footed shot put it just wide but, in wat could of potentially have been a vital moment in the Season when Valencia got a Penalty for foul given against Pique who was adjudged to have fouled Rodrigo and Danny Parjeo who hadn’t missed a Penalty all Season went to the left of the Goal but Claudio Bravo gussed right and saved it but Valencia came very close to scoring twice more when first Nicolas Otamendi headed wide at the near post, then Paco Alcacer’s shot from just outside the box hit the left hand post with Bravo rooted but soon after that it was more Barca like performance with Deigo Alves making some very good saves and Barca changed the formation in the second half to 4-3-3 with a false number 9 as Ivan Rakitic came on for Adriano after the break and Barca were to get the second in the 4th Minute of stoppage time, when Valencia had players pushed up, Barca cleared the ball quickly away and Lionel Messi was all on his own 1 on 1 with the Keeper who despite saving the first shot was helpless as Messi poked in the rebound and get his 400th Barcelona Goal.

Final Score: Barcelona 2-0 Valencia

In the evening Kick Off Real Madrid were looking to keep up the pressure by getting 3 Points at Home to Malaga but the Match didn’t start off in the best way for Real as Gareth Bale went off after just 4 minutes with a calf problem but, on 24 Minutes Real got the break through when Cristiano Ronaldo’s Free Kick from the left was drilled in right footed Sergio Ramos hooked it in at the far post and despite Malaga’s Players appealing for Offside the Goal stood and on 66 minutes Real had a chance to double the lead when James Rodriguez cut inside and was brought down in the box by Samu Castillejo but, for Once Ronaldo missed from the spot as his Penalty hit the left hand post and bounced out but 3 Minutes later on 69 Minutes James struck a cracking second when he finished a one-two with Isco from just outside the box and he tapped his shot left footed into the top right hand corner via the outstretched hands of Carlos Kameni to make it 2-0 but just 2 minutes later on 71 minutes, Juanmi headed Roberto Rosales’ cross past Iker Casillas to make it 2-1 at the far post but, Ronaldo wasn’t to be denied his 50th Goal of the season when in the second minute of stoppage time Javier Hernandez made a good run down the right hand side and he played it across to Ronaldo to tap in.
