Over the past decade the amount of talent which Barcelona have added to their ranks is just unbelievable from the likes of Rivaldo, Messi, Luis Figo, Ronaldinho and many more Barcelona are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the World.
This season all the hype has gone towards Lionel Messi, the Argentine genius has worked his socks of all season, plus he has put in some world class displays for his club. Messi has scored some incredible individual goals and has contributed a lot this season, also the little magic man of Xavi is just a great asset to have in any squad, his forward play his passing and his skill is just brilliant to watch. However a new star has been born this season and his name is Pedro.
Pedro A Name To Remember
22 year old Pedro Rodriguez hails from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, his favoured position is the wing role but he is more than capable of playing in attacking midfield. Pedro burst onto the scene last season but he only made 14 appearances for Barca, however in the 09/10 campaign the 22 year old has been an inaugural figure in Josep Guardiola’s side. He has managed to score goals in six different competitions and only last night he was able to up his goalscoring tally to 20 for this season. Could Pedro be the new star of Barcelona or could he well be the new star of Football?
Standing only 5ft7 an unknown quantity of Pedro has taken La Liga by storm, his contribution this season and his goals have helped Barcelona to reach the summit of La Liga, the semi-finals of the Champions League and his extra time goal against Shaktar Donetsk proved to be the winning goal as Barcelona lifted the Uefa Super Cup.
