Current Brazilian international and FC Barcelona sensational football star Neymar is reportedly considering a move the Manchester United. Reports from Camp Nou suggest that Neymar is sick of living under the shadow of football sensation Lionel Messi.
Twenty-three-year-old Neymar is currently the principal player in the first team after superstar Lionel Messi is out of play due to an injury. He is however concerned that he will have to take a back seat the instant Messi overcomes his injury and returns to the main team.
Speculation has been rife recently with where Neymar’s future lies. Several experts believe that Neymar could be folding his career with the La Liga Champs.
Spanish Football Expert Guillem Balague Says
The legendary expert is of the opinion that the Brazilian international would likely welcome a move to English Premier League Giant Manchester United. However, he suggests that Neymar is likely to consider this move should things at Camp Nou remain as usual.
The reports of a Neymar move are growing every day as Spanish Newspaper Don Balon also carried an article suggesting that he is considering his options. The Brazilian has plans of becoming a leader in a European football powerhouse, and The Red Devils could fit the bill.
Sources claim that Neymar is dead set on capturing the FIFA Ballon d’Or, and he feels that as much as Messi remains as a Barcelona FC player, he will not be able to achieve his goal.
Former Barcelona President Joan Laporta Speaks
To fuel Neymar’s want to part with FC Barcelona, former Barca president Laporta is convinced that the Argentine’s national (Lionel Messi) will retire from football still in Camp Nou. He is however, unsure about Neymar’s long-term future.
Messi is currently out of play after suffering a knee injury; the Argentine is however linked with a Premier League move after he was slapped with a Tax evasion claim in Spain.
With both players reported to be set to switch to the premier league, Laporta says that perhaps the club will have to release the Brazilian and balance the books.
Graham Hunter another reputable sports reporter suggests that Messi is considering a move from Camp Nou due to the on-going tax evasion investigation. If found guilty, the Argentina international will likely face up to 22 months behind bars.
As much as it is obvious that Lionel Messi will remain as the main man at Catalonia, the Brazilian will push forward with a release. AS long as Neymar relishes playing alongside the Argentine, his form has increased in the past several seasons.
With his ambitions set on becoming the finest footballer the world has ever seen, I believe there is no reason he can’t achieve his fate at Camp Nou. There will come a time when Lionel Messi will either exit the club or have his role watered down.
Whichever direction chooses, however, if he continues to his current form, one thing is certain, he is destined to a bright future!
