Blackpool v Burnley
Tuesday 3rd March – 7.45 KO
Burnley will make the trip across Lancashire tonight to face rivals Blackpool.
Local bragging rights are at stake in tonights clash, but more importantly three points that both teams will be desperate for after they have both had a bun run of results of late.
Blackpool have won only two games out of their last 14 whereas Burnley will try to put a dissapointing start to 2009 behind them, winning just two games since the year turned.
Last time out Burnley put in a dismal performance and were left licking their wounds after 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday, after which Burnley manager Owen Coyle has said he will “ring the changes” for tonights clash.
Eagles could make his first start in five games and Kevin Mcdonald could even come in to freshen things up in the centre of the park.
Despite Burnleys recent form the Clarets still find themselves just two points outside the top six, and the Clarets will certainly be doing all they can to ensure they are as close as possible come 10pm tonight.
