The American brand Nike officially unveiled their new boot silo labelled the Hypervenom Phantom at an event in Rio de Janeiro with Brazil striker Neymar. The Brazilian superstar recently signed a five year deal with Spanish giants Barcelona and he has teamed up with Nike to unveil their latest innovation, the agility enhancing Hypervenom as well as showcasing the new Brazil home shirt for this years FIFA Confederations Cup.
The Hypervenom is purely designed to enhance agility and speed as stated by Nike it “helps players create space quickly in and around the penalty area, and get their shot off from any angle”. The new age defender is now as fast and quick as the modern day forwards so Nike thought up of the Hypervenom as the next big thing to revolutionise a footballers performance.
In recent years Neymar has been the avid endorser of the lucrative Mercurial range as well as the special edition Green Speed range and he mentioned that he wants a boot that “Helped me make space more often and more quickly. I want a boot that helps enhance my agility and gives me the space to get my shot off before I’m closed down.”
The major feature of this boot is the revolutionary NikeSkin upper which is a soft mesh bound with a thin polyurethane film, and is finished off with Nike All Conditions Control technology to provide the same level of foot-to-ball control in both wet and dry conditions.
