Here is a team by team breakdown of how the season went. It wasn’t the most memorable in footballing terms but its had its fair share of surprises, particularly at the end.

The season is coming to an end and a lot of history being made, Lampard breaking Chelsea‘s top-scorer record, Ferguson retire after winning Man United’s 20th league title, Wigan win the FA Cup in dramatic fashion and get relegated just 3 days after that win and a lot more, a lot of debuts, managers got sacked and manager got hired and for me there were 11 players that just stand out. Sepp Blatter’s comment that gay fans travelling to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup “should refrain from any sexual activities” typifies how out of touch FIFA is, but the problems go deeper.
