This gives Celtic a pathway to catch up on titles and to become Scotland’s most dominant club. The clubs valiant effort in the UEFA Champions League against Barcelona at Camp Nou last week confirms their dominance.
Celtic face Barcelona at home this week in the Champions League and they look to upset the Spanish giants. Celtic have won just three of their last 11 Champions League matches on home soil. Celtic have only lost two of their home games in the Champions League and they were both against Barcelona. At the Camp Nou last week Giorgas Samaras had the only shot and only goal in their narrow 1-2 loss to Barcelona. Barcelona have lost just one of their last 21 Champions League matches. A tough task for Celtic with a draw a likely goal for the Scottish champions.
The clubs focus on the Champions League have seemed drop their standard in the Premier League. In the Scottish Premier League the club have dropped five points in their last two outings.The club were 2-0 up against Dundee United when United scored two late goals to draw the match 2-2. Lennon mentioned the club were dominant and were unlucky that United came back.
A point against Barcelona may seem to be a far horizon as key marksmen Giorgas Samaras, Gary Hooper and James Forrest all have injury problems.
