Chelsea don’t need a striker!

Mentioned by Jose Mourinho seems to be unhappy with Chelsea’s strikers for now, Romelu Lukaku just came back from a season-long loan at West Brom, Demba Ba signed last January and already linked with a move away from London and Fernando Torres wasn’t what everybody expected of him.

Radamel Falcao was the main choice for joining the blues for a long time, but he preferred to go to big-spenders Monaco, Edinson Cavani has already agreed on personal terms but Chelsea wasn’t prepared to pay the 63 euros buy-out clause in his contract leading the negotiations to a dead end, Luis Suarez and Christian Benteke are the latest players to get into Mourinho’s strikers list after David Moyes said that Wayne Rooney isn’t for sale.

The only striker who is set to stay at the Bridge is long-time Chelsea fan Romelu Lukaku, Barcelona and Anzhi Makhachkala have already expressed their interest in Fernando Torres and Demba Ba respectively. But, does Chelsea need a striker at all?

Of course not, Demba Ba came just in January and with fixture congestion since his arrival he didn’t got enough games in the team to prove himself worthy of a Chelsea starting place, Fernando Torres may lack his finishing skills like he had few years ago, but good performances at the Confederations Cup and at the end of season 2011/12 proved that he still got what it takes to be a good striker.

Rumelu Lukaku is the favourite to take the starting place from Fernando Torres/Demba Ba as Jose Mourinho ready to make ‘another Drogba’ in his second stint at the club, so no players are needed to bolster Chelsea’s goalscoring options.

It is clearly better for Chelsea and for the player if Torres moves on. Chelsea definitely do need to do that trade, and if someone will pay his wages they should sell him for whatever we can get. Then we can can work on bringing in the best replacement we can afford.
I would take Suarez or Benteke if they are what is available.

Torres should not be sold, Torres Lukaku will be a fine combination, and Demba ba should be giving enough playing time so that he can prove what striker he is that made chelsea to buy him from Newcastle.

that is true, chelsea do not need any striker, we should forget about signing another striker. With tores who is now doing fine as we all saw towards the end of the season and at the confed. Cup, we can still keep him for this season and see his contribution, lukaku is back and better, kelvin De Bruyne is also back, Demba is a good striker who needs time to proof himself, when i mean time i mean time on the pitch not on the bench. These guys can deliver trophies to us, we do not need to spend all these millions we are putting on the table in the name of bidding for big names.

I believe Morinho can get the best out of these strike talents at our disposal. Lukaku $ Ba are good player. We saw what both are capable of when they scored against d Champion last season. Torres has to stay on d bench dis time around for us to develop Lukaku. Chelsea should keep faith in this young lad. No need to buy any other strikers.

we have got good strikers, mourinho should have told this guys what he wants them to do for him, knowing that january transfer window is still a good option to buy and sell. Axing Ba and Torres is not fair for the blues. I believe all our players need one season with mourinho to prove themselves before possible sales/transfers.
