Colombian club Independiente Santa Fe Forget Kits!

23 October 2013 by

Top flight Colombian club Independiente Santa Fe forgot to bring their away kits in a clash against Boyaca Chico with meant the club had to wear counterfeit kits.

Hosts Boyaca Chico refused to change their kits to resolve the colour clash which resulted in Independiente Santa Fe wearing grey training tops with squad numbers with tape on the back of the shirts to represent numbers for the first half. However the players sweated off the numbers so they played the second half in unofficial £4 shirts after a staff member bought them from street vendors where they added names and numbers with a marker pen.

The result of the match was a 2-0 win for Santa Fe where spokesman Pablo Garcia said: “We’re happy. Chico wouldn’t help resolve the problem and tried to gain an advantage in the situation.” This news comes after several English clubs forgot their kits on the weekend including League Two side Mansfield Town and non-league side Whytleafe.
