Former Leeds United captain Frazer Richardson today completed a free transfer move to The Valley. The 26 year old right back who made 171 appearances for Leeds United has signed a two year deal and will link up with the squad for the forthcoming two match tour of Ireland.

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson admitted he had been tracking Frazer for a while over the summer and was delighted to get Frazer on board. He said “He’s a good player and he’s got lots of experience in this division and higher. He’s been at Leeds a long time and perhaps now’s the time for him to have a fresh challenge. He will be a great addition for us and we look forward to working with him.”

I personally think Frazer will be a fantastic aquisition for Charlton and it would not surprise me if he leads the side out on the opening day against Wycombe Wanderers at The Valley.
