After the Leicester Mercury stated yesterday morning, that Leicester City are looking for a busy day in the transfer market fans would of truly believed those words.
With a few players linked with the club including Abdoulaye Faye, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Jeffrey Bruma, you would have thought with the Owners money and Sven Goran Eriksson in charge, one of those names would have been heading through the Walkers Stadium doors; however that isn’t the case.
Only young Nigerian striker Danny Uchechi and legendary Portuguese goalkeeper Ricardo were the only arrivals on a day full of transfer hope at Leicester City. Uchechi has joined the Foxes on loan until the end of the season from little known club Fc Dender, while Eriksson also decided to sign up goalkeeper Ricardo who had been on trial at the club.
According to sources the loan signing of Jeffrey Bruma from Chelsea, was close to being finalized in the late hours of the January transfer window and with talksport stating that a deal had gone through, that now isn’t the case. The Foxes were in talks with Bruma about a move to the Walkers Stadium, but time wasn’t on Leicester’s side as they weren’t able to string a deal in time.
Other names were also close to signing, but those players have not yet been confirmed, with the loan window set to open in the next week or so, expect Sven Goran Eriksson to add to he’s back four, plus he could well make a few other deals including a midfielder, a position Leicester City fans want strengthening.
