Lee Hendrie has revealed that he wants to sign a permanent deal with Leicester City when his loan expires at the end of the season.
The midfielder was sent to the Walker’s Stadium to link up with Ian Holloway when Kevin Blackwell, who suggested Hendrie’s wages were a problem, arrived at Bramall Lane.
The former England international’s time at Bramall Lane was plagued by injuries which hampered his progression after arriving at S2 in the summer after spending 13 years at Aston Villa, where he won his solitary England cap.
“I have enjoyed myself so much, it would be great for it to be a permanent fixture,” Hendrie said.
“We’ll see at the end of the season but it (signing for Leicester) would be something I’d definitely think about doing.”
