Holland 3-0 Ukraine

Holland beat Ukraine 3-0 in a friendly last night at the De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam.

There was a Liverpool double amongst the scorer’s with striker Dirk Kuyt and winger Ryan Babel both on the scoresheet.

The other goal came from Ajax starlet Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

 Van Basten played an experimental team with several players missing from duty through injury or special dispensation after only finishing their domestic fixtures in the past week.

Huntelaar was played as the lone striker with Kuyt preferred on the right side of midfield and Van der Vaart given the play-makers role in attacking midfield.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst played at left back and was given the captain’s armband for the fixture.

Orlando Engelaar continued to impress in central midfield.

It was a comfortable victory for the home side who entertain Denmark on Thursday night.
