Influential Woodhouse to captain Diamonds

28 July 2008 by

Rushden and Diamonds manager Garry Hill has announced his Club Captain and Team Captain for the forthcoming season. Experienced midfielder Curtis Woodhouse will take on the role of Team Captain, taking charge of ‘on field’ activities. Andy Burgess, the clubs’ longest serving player, will become Club Captain, taking charge of ‘off field’ activities. Burgess will also be Team Captain when Woodhouse is unavailable.

These appointments have been made as last seasons’ captain Chris Hope has stepped up to become player-coach, as well as helping Garry Hill with taking charge of training.
