Key La Liga Matches from Matchday 31 as Real close gap with Barca dropping points

On Saturday in the Afternoon both Madrid Teams were in action Real were at Home to Eibar and Atletico travelled to Malaga, Real claimed a comfortable 3-0 Win with the opener coming after 21 Minutes from who else but Cristiano Ronaldo from a Free Kick although there was an element of luck with a deflection wrong footing the Keeper as the ball ended up in the middle of the Goal, the Second came on Minute 31 when Javier Hernandez headed in Alvaro Arbeloa’s cross from the right into the far bottom corner and the Third to finish it on 83 Minutes came from Jese a very good run from about 30 Yards from Goal into the box and hit right footed into the left hand bottom corner.

Atletico took the lead against Malaga on 25 Minutes after Jesus Gamez’s long throw from the left was spilled by Goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, inform Antoine Griezmann tapped in but Malaga hit back on 37 Minutes when an in-swinging corner from the left was aimed towards Nordin Amrabat at the near post, but instead bounced off Torres and past a helpless Jan Oblak to put Malaga back on level terms, then on 71 Minutes Malaga took the lead when Amrabat turned a played a through ball to Samuel who chipped it over the Keeper who was off his line but Griezmann got his Second to get Atletico a point when he shot left footed into the top right hand corner from Raul Jimenez’s knock down to make it 2-2.

The Evening Kick Off saw Leaders Barcelona travel to Sevilla in a bid to maintain a 4 point lead and that was looking good for them after taking a 2 Goal lead first on 14 Minutes Lionel Messi curled a shot left footed beautifully into the left hand bottom corner and then the Second Goal came on 31 Mins when Neymar Free Kick went in off the left hand post but Sevilla showed great spirit to come back first on 38 Minutes through Ever Benaga with a cracking shot from about 35 yards out going in off the left hand post and they completed to the comeback to get a point when with 6 Minutes to go Jose Antiono Reyes intercepted the ball he played a through ball to Vidal when centred for Kevin Gramerio to score and the gap at the top is now just 3 points.

On Monday Valencia moved 3 Points clear in the top 4 with a 3-0 Win at Home to Levante with the open coming on 16 Minutes from Paco Alcacer as he headed into the top left hand corner after a cross from the right from Danny Parejo, Sofiane Feghouli made it two on 36 Minutes when he headed home from a similar position in the box after a cross from the left and Alvaro Negredo made it three when he chested the ball down just outside the box and scored a stunning half volley left footed which went over the Goalkeeper into the left hand corner.
