Leicester Closing In On Maguire And Koren?

Leicester City could well secure a double swoop within the next week, as reports state that Nigel Pearson could well end his interest in Hull City defender James Chester, and turn to Sheffield United centre back Harry Maguire instead, as well as continuing his interest in Hull City midfielder Robert Koren. Reports state that Maguire is firmly on the Foxes radar, and a bid could well be submitted for the highly rated 19 year old in the next couple of days. Pearson spoke openly of his intentions to bring in a centre back before the 2012/2013 season begins, with Matt Mills and Sol Bamba heading out of the King Power stadium exit door, a purchase in the centre back position is definitely needed for the Foxes. It now seems that Harry Maguire could well be Nigel Pearson’s top defensive target, the 19 year old claimed plenty of accolades at the end of the 2011/2012 season including Sheffield United’s player of the season and young player of the season awards.

Also despite Steve Bruce’s intentions of fending off interest for his top players, Leicester City are still in the driving seat to secure the services of Hull City midfielder Robert Koren. Pearson still wants to acquire an attacking midfielder, and Koren is the perfect target. Also only a couple of weeks ago, Koren stated that he would be interested in rekindling his relationship with his former manager Nigel Pearson, as Koren worked under the 48 year old at Hull City. Despite being told not to submit bids for the likes of Chester, Liam Rosenior and Cameron Stewart, the Foxes are all set to submit another bid for Robert Koren, and if negotiations materialise a deal could well be completed within the next two weeks.
