Leonardo at Inter Milan – Traitor?

7 January 2011 by

As A.C Milan run away with Seria A, five points ahead of Lazio in second, it’s not looking so good for the blue side of the city. Inter, having just sacked manager Rafa Benitez, lie in seventh, thirteen points adrift, and in serious danger of not automatically qualifying for the Champions League.

So maybe it’s not the perfect time to hire a Milan legend and ex-manager Leonardo. Although he struggled during the start of his campaign with Milan, he pulled it together and finished third. His footballing abilities are unquestionable but as a manager he is still unproven.

As the Inter fans screamed “chi non salta e milanista e!!” at the press conference of Leonardo’s arrival. Meaning “if you’d don’t jump your a Milan supporter”. Although Leonardo did not jump it remains to be seen how the Milan supporters treat him.

Yeah, I agree. He hasn’t been helped by the Benitez factor, but Inter have 3 games in hand, so if they win, they’re only what, 4 points behind Milan? Yeah, 3rd and Champions League quarter final’s I think.
