Liam Dickinson joins Posh on a loan deal until the end of the season.

News coming out in the last hour has stated that Liam Dickinson will be joining Peterborough United on a loan deal until the end of the season from Brighton and Hove Albion (

Dickinson will join up with former manager Jim Gannon after enjoying a spell at Stockport under Gannon’s management where he played 94 times scoring 33 goals for ‘The Hatters’.

The move will provide Posh with a valuable target man, something that many fans have said has been missing all season, at 6ft 4inches Dickinson certainly gives Posh another option up-front.

Dickinson has been a vital part of Brighton’s season so far being a regular in the first team; he has scored 6 goals in 32 appearances this season, although 11 of these have been made from the bench.

Dickinson trained with the Peterborough team this morning and is likely to be in the squad for the Ipswich game ( tomorrow night.

not had the best of seasons by any means 100% work rate cant be faulted for that but as a out and out goalscorer the jury is out imo,he thrived under gannon last time, perhaps he just needs a manager to back him to the hilt ,strange decision by poyet to let him go but hope he does well for you. Thanks Taylor, we need players that will fight for the cause in the current situation we are in. As you say Gannon brought the best out of him so lets hope he can do so again.

however if he ever win’s more than 2 headers in a game you will he lucky! He is quite annoying because he is always looking for a free kick off the defender rather than getting the flick on.. plus his yellow “bannana” boots, occasional soft falls over and lack of composure. But he does try just didn’t set league 1 alight so good luck in the championship..

Great start for ‘Dicko’. Looks like he could have a future at this level if he continues to perform like that.
