Currently sitting on top of the Premier League table, Liverpool have officially launched their new home kit for next season.
The new home kit is manufactured by American brand Warrior Sports who signed a kit deal with Liverpool back in April 2011. The new home kit tunes into the hart of Liverpool FC’s identity featuring their iconic red colour scheme whilst adding a modern edge to the new shirt. Red is complemented with white piping and trim on the sides, shoulders and sleeves. The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson, Kolo Toure and Simon Mignolet gave 1,000 fans a first glimpse of the new uniforms at their city centre shop.
Liverpool manager, Brendan Rogers said, “The 1960s was such a defining era for this club. Sir Roger Hunt, Ian St John, Ron Yeats …the list of Liverpool FC legends that played under Shankly goes on and on. For the players to wear a shirt that has taken inspiration from such a successful period for the club, can act as a reminder that they can bring those glory years back to Liverpool Football Club.”
The new Liverpool adds new features including a geometric weave adding a classic striking appearance to the shirt. In line with the current shirt, two embroidered eternal flames are featured alongside a 96 logo on the nape of the neck to reflect the events at Hillsborough in 1989.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said, “I have a great sense of pride every time I pull on a Liverpool shirt. This shirt feels like a Liverpool classic and helps me remember the greats, like Roger Hunt, who played before us.”
The kits also feature the latest line of responsive technology which helps keep players focused on nothing but performing.

It’s a great clean-cut, modern kit which has the club’s history at its core; an inherent quality across our LFC kit collection for the 2014/15 season.”
