1-1s, shocks and dodgy refs! 18 Sept 2010 Review

So Saturday has about finished and I am sitting awaiting MOTD to start. Have just sat through the Sky extended highlights of Spurs v Wolves, pretty good come back from Spurs and very surprising seeing as every time I put them to win in my works predictions they end up losing. Best moment of the game had to be the Spurs third goal, cracking cock up in defence by a Leicester old boy Mr Stearman. Have to say it bought a smile to my face.

Well in case you didn’t know there were seven premier league games today, Stoke and West Ham played out a pretty decent 1-1 draw, Arsenal and Sunderland the same (with a 94th Bent goal! HA HA). Everton somehow managed to lose to the Toon at home weird seeing as the Newcastle can’t even beat the Seasiders! Blackburn and Fulham also drew 1-1, West Brom had a very decent result against Birmingham 3-1 and last but no means least Villa and Bolton drew and yes you guessed it 1-1!

Shock of the day has to be the mighty Millwall getting absolutely hammered 6-1 by Watford at The Den. One absolutely amazing result seeing as Millwall have had a cracking start to the season, just proves that The Championship this season is the most open for years (or the worst for years). I won’t mention my team’s great result today at home to QPR but I’m hearing via certain members of my family the ref robbed us!

Well MOTD is starting so I’m gonna shut up now, looking forward to another good day of footy tomorrow an absolute cracker, with Man U v Liverpool!!

Im a Leicester City fan aswell, I went to Saturday’s match but the performance as a whole wasn’t too bad, the referee completely lost it in the 2nd half the fans got on his back and he was partly to blame.

Should have had three penalties, but while going forward from open play we didn’t have any end product, a couple of long range shots from Paul Gallagher. They are top of the League though but we were the better side for most of the game, time to move onto Portsmouth.

Mate, I’m not being funny or anything but this is clearly a site for people who want to become professionals. All you seem to want to do is tell everyone your diary entry, and there is barely any correct punctuation. It would read better if you put in commas to break up long sentences, and it would look more professional if you didnt put things like the ‘(HAHA)’ bit….

Thanks you very much for your comment, your critism has been taken on board but I have to say your pretty harsh, the editor of foorball.co.uk obviously didnt think it was that bad or it would have been rejected.

The entry I put on here last night was a taster and im all for someone sending me a comment on how I can improve my blog posting but maybe you should learn hgive someone some critism without sounding nasty

I apologize if I came across a bit harsh Steve, I was honestly only trying to help. I personally like the first-person style of writing you adopt, but perhaps if anything it’s a little too chatty. I hope you take on board the comments I have made, and I look forward to reading more of your articles. Once again, sorry…

I just wanted to do a general kind of blog, people do really good blogs for their team and I know footballblog.co.uk has a cracking LCFC blogger already so thought id do my own opinionated blog on the weekend of football in general. Do you think this is a bad idea? I really do need help and/or constructive critism. I have put another blog in but might be too muich the same, we will see!

Well I think there is a blog called ‘View from the stands’ or something which is just general football stuff, how about that? Or you could just email the editor, and chance your arm at setting up a completely new blog…just a thought, although I like the whole ‘current affairs’ idea…
