Scott Robinson, Hearts’ youngest ever player to make a first team apperance, today signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2011, according to the Hearts official website.
The young striker was only 16 years 1 month and 14 days old when he made a substitute appearance towards the end of a home victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle last season.
Football Academy director John Murray described Robinson’s promotion from the youth team. “He is a hungry player and we have high hopes for him. Scott did well for the U19s last season and he then had a little taste of the first team towards the end of the season. This professional contract gives him the opportunity to develop further as a footballer and if he knuckles down hopefully there will be more first-team chances for him in the future.”
