Sounders 0-1 Chivas USA Halftime Thoughts

19 April 2009 by

UGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!

To be down by an own goal is disappointing (what WAS that, Riley?) but you can’t say it wasn’t coming. Perhaps going away to the first place team in our conference is not a good place to bounce back, but to be honest, I’d take the performance in the KC game over what I’ve just seen. Ljungberg has been the only one able to get some pinpoint balls to guys, and when other guys manage to do it, it’s wasted because of a bad touch. Even Montero has been below par. He had a great chance to put us up 1-0 after a great pass from the other Freddie put him clean through, but his chip missed to goal by going wide left. The only other real opportunity was a Le Toux header that was stopped right on the doorstep by Thornton, so that’s that. As for the own goal, it’s not as if Riley is having a shocker, but he certainly isn’t as good as he was in the first few games. The welcome party is over guys. Time to get down to work.

I want Sounders 2-1 Chivas USA

I feel Sounders 1-1 Chivas USA

I get….?

p.s. I just saw Bob Bradley…who do you think he’s looking out for?
