Last season at this stage Chelsea under the guidance of Jose Mourinho managed just 11 points from 12 games and 16th on the league standings.
At the beginning of this season, Chelsea saw their 100 percent record ended by Swansea in 2-2 draw then followed by a back to back defeat in the hands of Liverpool and Arsenal. Chelsea at this point are lacking ideas and fear the season will not be any different from the last.
The rapid introduction of the “three back” system by the Italian gaffer, Antonio Conte will …

It has been continuously remarked upon just how tightly packed the head of the Premier Table is at present, and sure, it is. Just two points separate first and fourth place and it’s been an exciting season thus far.
But I don’t feel as though the race for the title will involve four or five teams through-out. There has been constant talk of this being the “closest title race for years” by pundits and journalists, simply based on the fact that after 11 games, The four teams at the top have …

A part of North London seems to enjoy it’s football in the Premier League. After a long time Stamford Bridge is up to it’s height cheering for the blues under the new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
After a disastrous last season and winning the title back in 2015. The defending champions looked far off their game as they played earlier ,which resulted in a 10th place finish and sacking of José  Mourinho in mid-season.
This season Conte seems to rewriting the script after a shocking 3-0 loss to a swift moving  Arsenal side they …

It was the biggest transfer of the window so far, so what do we know about Michy Batshuayi – the striker they recently signed?
While most are just wondering how the hell you pronounce his name, others are just keen for him to get stuck in at a club that has struggled to fill Didier Drogba’s boots in recent seasons.
The Belgian striker is an excellent prospect, with 26 goals across the last two seasons for former side Marseille. He has also made six appearances and scored three goals for Belgium.
In some …

Due to the competitive nature of the Premier League, there are now more ‘derby’ matches than ever before. While the traditional local derbies are still popular, rivalry fixtures have become much more important as these play a key role in the fate of the title race. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all feature highly in this list of the top five top flight derby matches but there are also others that may catch you by surprise. Here are our selections:

Manchester United vs Manchester City
One of the most important clashes …

Two matches in and the champions are wheezing. This has already been Chelsea’s worst start since 1998, well before Roman Abramovich’s purchase of the club. The defeat at Manchester City on Sunday left them five points adrift of last season’s runners-up in the fledgling Premier League table. It is too early to talk of crisis, with both Branislav Ivanovic and Diego Costa having publicly pushed for improvement rather than panic, but there are reasons why Chelsea have failed to find their early season sparkle.

1) Pre-season Form
The bulk of Chelsea’s first-team …

The last part of this 3 part Premiership preview looks at last season’s top 6. Will the top 6 remain the same? Can anyone stop Chelsea winning back-to-back titles? Let’s take a look.
Liverpool (Last Season – 6th)
After overachieving in the 13-14 season, Liverpool clearly underachieved in the 14-15 campaign. Manager Brendan Rodgers’ tenure is under threat and how well 32.5 million pound gamble Christian Benteke can do will virtually decide his destiny.
Losing the ‘prized asset’ Raheem Sterling will hurt, but if Jordon Ibe who Rodgers has announced will feature heavily …

Before the World Cup, Colombia coach Jose Peckerman said that Cuadrado was “ready to go to a great club,” and few could argue with him after what they saw in Brazil. If it weren’t for his one goal and four assists, which was notably the joint most assists of the tournament, the memorable goal celebrations gained Cuadrado many admirers around the world. More importantly, however, were his admirers across Europe. Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all reportedly wanted him, and Chelsea got him.
Fast forward six months and we are …

Basketball and Football, two similar yet entirely different games. Same basic rules which are to score as many as you can before the end of the game, but the difference is so big you sometimes forget that they are so similar. With the obvious fact of Basketball is a ball being dribbled with hands and Football is a ball being dribbled with feet, there are other rules which make the sports almost opposites in a way. Basketball could improve the future of English football.
I believe this as if you look at …

In order for this article to work, a few things need to be said first. As a 24 year old Chelsea fan, I have witnessed the birth of a new club – in  2003 certain Russian came in and transformed the landscape at Stamford Bridge. Before the Roman Empire started it was all about the odd semi final in some odd competition that no one cares about and drawing 1-1 away to Liverpool. Since then we have seen  the club win both European competitions, win more FA cups than is …
