The 2015-16 Premiership season is almost upon us, I will have a lot at each team and access what they have done thus far and what they possibly still need to do to achieve their target.
I shall split this into 3 parts, the first part being the hypothetical bottom seven, including the three promoted sides, and the four teams who survived the drop, (positions 14-17th), in the Premiership last season.
Bournemouth (Last season – 1st in the Championship)
The only times I have had to mention Bournemouth before the 2014/15 season was …

The Tigers are set to start their fourth campaign in the Premier League, following the most successful season in the club’s history. Last campaign Steve Bruce guided the East Yorkshire club to safety with relative ease against the odds, despite a dip in form towards the end of the season; Bruce also led the club to their first ever FA Cup final in which they were narrowly beaten by a rather unimpressive Arsenal side, but has given the club their first opportunity of European football after being entered into the …

Tonight Norwich City, sitting on the edge of the relegation zone, take on Liverpool who have had an impressive season so far. With the exception of the match against Hull on Sunday, Liverpool have proved to be a force to be reckoned with this season. In contrast, Norwich have struggled this season, only winning 3 games this season, Southampton, Stoke and Crystal Palace this Saturday.
It is a big difference to Chris Hughton’s spectacular run of 10 unbeaten games this time last year. In fact, only Barcelona had as good …

After seeing Liverpool drop points at St James’ Park earlier in the day, Arsenal had the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Barclay’s Premier League at home to Norwich. Arsene Wenger’s men will have been keen to get back to winning ways; they were held to a one-all draw last week by West Bromwich Albion.
The Gunners were quick to find their rhythm and went ahead after twenty minutes. It was one of the best goals you’ll see all year. Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla exchanged passes …

Paul Lambert had another happy return to Carrow Road with a tight 1-0 victory where they worked up until the 95th minute. It was a first clean sheet for the Midlands club after 26 league games with conceding at least one goal even though their full backs were constantly beaten in the first half.
For Chris Hughton it was a frustrating game where they could have got a point and were unlucky that the ball didn’t quite fall to the players they wanted it to. Their best player by far was …

The Tigers picked up their first three points of the season with a hard fought win over Norwich. Robbie Brady’s 22nd minute penalty was enough to seal the victory for Hull despite having to play the last hour of the match with ten men after Yannick Sagbo was dismissed for an attempted head butt.
The visitors got off to a strong start and should have taken the lead but new signing Leroy Fer headed wide and shortly afterwards Nathan Redmond, another new signing, forced a good save with a shot from …

On the 26th of July, Gary Hooper signed for Norwich for a fee in the region of £5.5 million (BBC). Hooper declared his move from Scottish champions Celtic “a dream”. Hooper has stated that his primary objective for leaving Celtic was to play at international level for England as he stated “you don’t really get a look in up there” when speaking of playing in Scotland and his chances of representing England.
Hooper has gained compliments from many well respected English managers including the very reputable Harry Redknapp who branded Hooper …

A deep sigh of relief was exhaled by all Norwich supporters following their penultimate game of the season. For even the most hardened of Canary fans, the last few weeks of the season must have been traumatic to say the least. For despite a finishing place of 11th, higher than under the leadership of Paul Lambert, serious questions were beginning to be asked about the security of the club in the Premier League. This would seem odd perhaps, considering a season that has led to wins over Man City, Arsenal, …

The permanent signing of Javier Garrido this week and the forthcoming July arrival of Ricky Van Wolfswinkel shows the ambition Norwich City has, by bringing quality players such as these to Carrow Road.
However, after surviving the dreaded second season syndrome, the Canaries still continue their club mantra of a solid team spirit and collective togetherness inwards, which has not only seen them rise back to the top flight, but in my opinion is the reason their team displays have been so passionate on the pitch.
This incredible ethos seemingly doesn’t stop …

John Terry is again available for Chelsea, as he still has the right to appeal his 4 match ban, and could be recalled by Roberto Di Matteo after he was benched in The Blues’ 4-0 win away to Nordjaelland. Meanwhile Daniel Sturridge remains sidelined.

Norwich are set to welcome Sebastien Bassong back into the mix after the defender recovered from a hamstring injury suffered in The Canaries 5-2 loss to Liverpool. The team from Norfolk  are also monitoring Anthony Pilkington’s back problem.
