The first international break of 2015 comes at the end of March, but the England manager, Roy Hodgson, must currently be contemplating on which strikers to call up to the squad, if all are fit. The 2014/15 Premier League season has been a success so far for English strikers who are trying to appeal to Hodgson, which was highlighted last weekend (3rd and 4th of January). I believe that Roy Hodgson sees Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck as his key three strikers, who he will consistently pick, subject …

These are the upcoming playoffs in the different divisions, first up the Championship:
Wigan vs. QPR – May 9th 7.45 pm, DW Stadium (first leg), May 12th 7.45 pm, Loftus Road (second leg)
QPR finished one place higher than Wigan in fourth, but seven points better off. Both teams struggled for consistency and goals a bit, and there were few highlights in the 0-0 DW draw during the normal season. In the return fixture, Yossi Benayoun gave QPR a narrow victory, but 18-goal Charlie Austin is the man most likely to decide …

Harry Redknapp and QPR suffer a huge blow in their push for promotion as top scorer Charlie Austin faces a long spell out.
Charlie Austin has clearly been Qpr’s main man bagging 14 goals in 24 appearances in this season’s Championship campaign but on Tuesday 28th January in a league match against Bolton the 24 year old suffered a harsh shoulder injury which will keep him out for a lengthy time.
During the first half in the R’s 2-1 victory over the Trotters, the Englishman landed awkwardly forcing the club physio to …

If you’d of asked me last season how I felt about Robert Green as a goalkeeper I wouldn’t of been too positive about his abilities. With the arrival of Julio Cesar I felt confident that we now had a brilliant goalkeeper, and that Green would play less games for us as Cesar would be number one choice for the rest of the season.
After Mark Hughes was sacked and Harry Redknapp brought in as a replacement, Green played a few more games for us. I felt somewhat nervous, (more so than …

The nominees for September’s Air Asia Player Of The Month award are; Goalkeeper Robert Green, Defender Richard Dunne and Striker Charlie Austin.
QPR fans have until midnight on Thursday 3rd October 2013 to vote for their September player of the month, simply Retweet your chosen players best bits video from the official QPR twitter account to vote.
With QPR still undefeated and currently top of the league table, it’s difficult to choose between this month’s nominees as all three have been absolutely superb in their position for the R’s.
Robert Green has completely transformed his goalkeeping …

So here we are. September 2nd, Transfer deadline day. The biggest question of all for me though is not about Manchester United or Arsenal`s lack of activity, but more the fact that Julio Cesar. The Brazilian number 1 goalkeeper, a Confederations Cup, Champions League, Serie A, Coppa Italia winner and world cup performer is still at Queens Park Rangers?
No disrespect to QPR but how is this the case? His wages are probably quite high, but in a transfer window where Spurs, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Norwich have shattered there transfer …

It’s been ten years since Leeds were last in the promise land and the household name is beginning to die down, yet every year fans have great optimism for the season ahead and this year there has been little change.  The difference this season is that four games in the hope has risen and people believe we have a great chance of reaching the play offs and some are even considering an automatic place.
I’m no way against fan positivity but lets not get ahead of ourselves yet, yes we are unbeaten …

With the Championship only a few days away I’ll take a look at the likely promotion contenders and relegation candidates. Wigan Athletic, Reading and Queens Park Rangers were all relegated to the Championship last season and they all boasts squads with which they will look to return to the Premier League on their first attempt.
Promotion Contenders:
Queens Park Rangers still boasts a strong squad which should see them bounce straight back to the Premier League. They are the strongest team on paper by a large margin and manager Harry Redknapp hails …

This section of the close season is a race to the finish, but even though Ian Holloway and Harry Redknapp aren’t exactly tortoises, these two managers have been taught a forgotten lesson this week, if you’ve got transfer targets, get the deal completed quickly.
Redknapp has openly said QPR have been missing out and Holloway has described his target hunting this week as “one of the worst weeks of his life”. Gary Hooper’s transfer to Norwich City is where Redknapp failed. Having agreed a fee with Celtic for the striker, the …

The new Championship season is almost here and its time to start thinking of everybody’s chances. Will we have one team run away with the title like Cardiff did last year or will it be a closer contest? Here I’ll have a look at who I think will make the top six and who I think will face the dreaded drop to League One. If you disagree, add your comments at the bottom!
Champions: Reading

The Royals were unlucky to be relegated last season – yes, they were 11 points away from …
