Villarreal come to town

After watching a cracker of a match at Stamford Bridge, I can only wish for an easy game at the Emirates tomorrow.

I’ll be certainly hoping for a convincing victory, when the Villarreal come to the English capital with a 1-1 draw from the first leg.

But it certainly won’t be an easy game for the two sides, as both sides have injury doubts and absentees for the 2nd leg.

Arsenal will be without Johan Djourou, Gael Clichy, William Gallas and Manuel Almunia leaving Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with a major defensive headache.

Arsenal can welcome back Mikael Silvestre and Abou Diaby for the crucial game, which gives the Frenchman a welcomed boost.

Marcos Senna will be missing for Villarreal, the goalscorer in the first leg will be a big miss for the yellow submarines. The Spanish international is widely regarded as the best player in their side, and Mauricio Pellegrino will have a problem to fill an important role in their side.

The Primera Liga side could be severely under-strength in midfield, with Santi Cazorla an absentee and wingers Cani and Mati Fernandez also doubtful.

With both sides suffering weak areas in their starting eleven, will the teams managers looking to capitalise to face either Manchester United or Porto.

Arsenal has kept clean sheets in the last four home CL matches. This is the club’s second best defensive display. Between November 2005 and November 2006, they managed seven successive shut-outs.

With this fact, the North London club certainly look favourites for the clash.
