Sampdoria?? they were top of the league at that point, but we are talking about teams that would be influential throughout the whole season.  When they were top of the league, the only big team they had played was Inter and give them credit, they beat them 1-0, but since then they have been hammered 5-1 by Juventus and played out a goalless draw at home with promoted team Bari

I decided to go for teams that would cause upsets and headlines (e.g. Palermo) and also mention the names that everyone recognises even though they do not follow Italian Football like I do.

Thank you for your feedback, I probably should of mentioned Sampdoria but that was my reasoning for not including them in the article
