Demar Phillips On Trial At Oldham

Stoke winger Demar Phillips has gone on trial at Oldham Athletic, with a view to signing on a season-long loan. The 24 year old Jamaican international, who has been capped 27 times by his country, moved to the Potters from Waterhouse FC on transfer deadline day in August 2007 for a fee believed to be around £100,000.

Demar’s first team opportunities at Stoke have been limited to just a handful of substitute appearances although he has impressed for the reserves, chipping in with several goals. He is likely to feature in Oldham’s friendly against Grimsby tonight, to show off his ability to the Latics’ fans and management.
