Jean-Pierre Bernes, Samir Nasri’s agent, has stated that his client is still undecided about Arsenal’s offer for his services, but he is actively thinking about it. Bernes said that no conclusion has been reached yet with Arsenal with regards to the transfer, and that there are other options available for his client, with a number of European clubs sounding their interest.
“It is true, we are looking at an offer from Arsenal which interests Samir from a sporting point of view. But other offers have also come through to me. Outside of England, there are those from Spain and even Italy. He must not dismiss any offer.” – Jean-Pierre Bernes (Nasri’s agent)
Bernes stated also that Nasri’s main concern is currently over the French national squad, and that he is hoping to clinch a place in the 23-man Euro 2008 squad for the Austria/Switzerland tournament.
“We are no hurry. From now on, Samir is on international duty and he is going to dedicate himself to the France team. He is going to do all he can get in the group of 23 called up for the Euros.” – Bernes
