Supercomputer Predicts Where Liverpool Will Finish 2025/26 Premier League Season if Form Persists

Arne Slot in a press conference isak injury news

Liverpool are in serious danger of the Premier League season running away from them at pace this term following a dismal start.

Arne Slot’s side currently reside in 12th place in the division and have been in the midst of some of Liverpool’s worst form in recent memory.

Their campaign has been stop-start to say the least and, by their own standards, has fallen well below the expectations of both their fanbase and the hierarchy within the club.

Of course, that is not to say that Slot is under any real pressure in terms of his position as manager, but the Dutchman will definitely have to improve the club’s fortunes in double quick time if he wants to keep things that way.

The Reds’ most recent failure came in what was a shock defeat at home in front of a packed out Anfield to Sean Dyche’s strugglers Nottingham Forest who have had their own issues this season so far.

Slot’s lads welcomed their opponents to Merseyside but were convincingly beaten by the visitors in a 3-0 loss thanks to goals from Murillo, Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White.

Supercomputer predicts Liverpool’s Premier League finish

It was a result which meant Liverpool stayed on just 18 points from their 12 matches with six wins and six defeats in league action. Not even close to being good enough for a side which spent close to £425million in the summer transfer window.

They are also the current title holders and their attempts to retain the championship are drowning with a whimper which will not sit well with shareholders or punters who had demanded silverware.

Mo Salah’s form has been miserable and the Egyptian has struggled with his stats in front of goal. Alexander Isak, the new signing who forced his move, has not scored in the Premier League yet and only has one strike in general which came vs Southampton in the Carabao Cup. A competition they are now eliminated from.

If Liverpool continue on this path, and the wins do not come, they will be in big trouble.

Could Liverpool finish outside top six?

It is an obvious statement to make, but now our FootballBlog supercomputer has confirmed it with its own projection for the club if they are unable to come up with the goods to pick up points.

According to the AI, Liverpool’s current defensive frailties have them toiling and they will not be able to push up the division too much and instead will end the 2025/6 campaign in NINTH spot.

That would be an altogether unacceptable end for title contenders before a ball was kicked and would surely spell the end for Slot and the hunt for a new boss.

The supercomputer predicts that, due to the current points per game ratio, the club would finish up with between 60 and 65 points which would be a similar final spot for the club like last season’s ninth spot who ended the year on 56.

Only if dramatic improvement is made can the club expect to finish in the top six. They have already given themselves a mountain to climb and with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all creating a gap to try and bridge, a strong run of form will have to come into play.
