Crystal Palace Winger Has Eerily Similar Transfer Battle Lined Up That Ebere Eze Went Through

Will Eze Play Tonight

Crystal Palace are bracing themselves for a number of loan offers for a top winger prospect at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have started their season well enough with one win and two draws from their opening three fixtures.

Last night’s 3-0 victory away at Aston Villa was a strong performance which brought with it a victory and bragging rights for their supporters who have been forced to bide their time on incoming transfers this summer.

Winger Yeremy Pino joined the club, finally, after a long wait for recruits but the £25million signing had to settle for a spot on the bench at Villa Park.

It all comes after the Ebere Eze transfer saga where Arsenal eventually landed the England cap for close to £64m. It was a move which had a number of moving parts throughout the summer.

Spurs wanted Eze before he made the switch to the Emirates, but there is now a second situation developing which could mirror the 27-year-old’s eventual exit.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is wanted by Celtic and Rangers

Palace wide player Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, 22, is a highly rated playmaker at the club but he has yet to really break into the first-team under manager Oliver Glasner.

And that could mean a loan is sanctioned before tonight’s deadline, with a whole host of clubs keen on taking the young English talent.

Both Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are seriously interested in the player and have reportedly already submitted official loan proposals to both player and club.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have added Michel Ange Balikwisha already but need further wide options.

Rangers, meanwhile, had a £10m deal for Rak-Sakyi lined up previously before the plug was pulled.

They both face further competition for the kid, though, with Leicester City willing to take him to the King Power Stadium on loan.

Other clubs want Rak-Sakyi loan deal

And there is interest further afield, if reports in France are to be believed, with Lyon one of four teams seeking to add Rak-Sakyi to their squad for the coming campaign.

Rak-Sakyi has been on the bench for the Eagles this season so far against Fredrikstad in the Conference League playoff qualifier as well as in the Premier League.

He did not make it off the sidelines against Chelsea on the opening day but his involvement proves he is well thought of at his club.

It remains to be seen where the attacking creative will play his football this season. But it likely will not be at Palace with so many interested parties.

We understand both West Brom and Southampton have previously attempted to prise him away on permanent deals without success.
