FA Cup fifth round: Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool favourites to qualify for the quarterfinals

All the top Premier League sides will be in FA Cup action this week following their league matches, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.

For fans of football, the good news is that all the exciting matches of the FA Cup will be available to watch through live streams

Luton Town vs Manchester City

Manchester City haven’t lost a match in all competitions since their shocking 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa back in December. Pep Guardiola’s side are aiming to win the Champions League and the Premier League, but they will not want to miss out on the FA Cup hoping to complete another continental treble this season.

City will square off with Luton who have lost their previous three league matches. The defending champions shouldn’t have any difficulty winning the game on Tuesday.

Luton Town 0-2 Manchester City

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United

Manchester United’s impressive winning run came to an end against Fulham at the weekend after goals from Kalvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi. Erik ten Hag’s side have been consistently inconsistent this season.

However, they are expected to prevail against the relegation battling Nottingham Forest team, who have won only one of their last six league matches.

Nottingham Forest 1-2 Manchester United

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool beat Chelsea 1-0 in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final to win their first piece of silverware this season. Despite missing many of their key players, Jurgen Klopp’s young side produced an excellent display and deservedly won the Wembley match after Virgil van Dijk’s extra-time winner.

The Reds will now aim to win their second domestic trophy as they take on Southampton on Wednesday. The Championship outfit have been enduring an indifferent run of form and should prove to be easy opponents for the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool 3-1 Southampton

Blackburn Rovers vs Newcastle United

Newcastle came close to ending their trophy drought when they made it to the final of the 2023 Carabao Cup. But Manchester United comfortably beat them 2-0 after first-half goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Eddie Howe’s side have had an underwhelming 2023-24 season as they are languishing in ninth in the Premier League. They could end their season on a high by winning the FA Cup but that looks unlikely given their recent performances. However, they should comfortably win against Blackburn Rovers who are currently sitting in 16th position in the Championship.

Blackburn Rovers 1-3 Newcastle United

Chelsea vs Leeds United

Sunday’s EFL Cup final proved to be a heartbreaking game for Chelsea fans as they failed to beat an under-strength Liverpool side. The Blues had the perfect opportunity to salvage their season but slumped to a disappointing 1-0 loss at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side cannot dwell too much on that defeat as they will be back in action against Leeds United in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday. Daniel Farke’s men, who won their sixth consecutive game against Leicester City at the weekend, will be full of confidence and we are backing them for success.

Chelsea 1-2 Leeds United
