Everton are expected to demand a record-breaking transfer fee if and when they receive enquiries about Iliman Ndiaye in the summer window.
Ndiaye was Everton’s leading scorer in the 2024/25 season with 11 goals, and he has been one of their top performers this term too.
The 25-year-old also recently won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations when Senegal beat Morocco in a tight final.
Ndiaye started six games at AFCON 2025, including the final — which saw Senegal prevail 1-0 in extra time after Brahim Diaz’s panenka penalty was saved by Edouard Mendy in the 114th minute of a dramatic contest.
Tottenham and Manchester United interested in Iliman Ndiaye
Ndiaye’s fine form for club and country has resulted in interest from multiple clubs, including at least two from the Premier League.
Manchester United are considering a summer move for Ndiaye, while he is also being eyed as a long-term target by Tottenham Hotspur.
United could be in the market for a new attacking midfielder ahead of the 2026/27 season if captain Bruno Fernandes leaves Old Trafford in the summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are still yet to satisfactorily replace former skipper Son Heung-min following his move to Los Angeles last year.
How much did Everton pay for Iliman Ndiaye?
Everton paid Marseille a transfer fee in the region of £15 million when they signed Iliman Ndiaye in July 2024.
However, his transfer value has risen considerably since then.
Everton rejected an offer worth £40m from Inter Milan last summer, underlining just how highly the club now rate the Senegal international.
Iliman Ndiaye sale could break Everton transfer record
FootballBlog.co.uk understands that Everton plan to set their initial asking price for Ndiaye at around £80m should Manchester United or Tottenham formalise their interest in the forward.
If those demands are met, Ndiaye would become Everton’s most expensive player sale in the club’s 148-year history.
The current record belongs to Romelu Lukaku, who left Goodison Park in July 2017 after Manchester United agreed to pay an initial £75m, with a possible £15m available in performance-related add-ons.
In terms of initial transfer fees alone, only two other players have left Everton for at least £50m to date — Richarlison and Amadou Onana.
