Liverpool boss Arne Slot has provided an injury update on long-term absentee Alexander Isak, along with several other stars.
The Reds host Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday night, looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
Liverpool were beaten 3-2 at Bournemouth last weekend, ending a run of 13 without defeat in all competitions.
They did bounce back in midweek, though, thumping Qarabag 6-0 in the Champions League to secure a place in the knockouts.
But once again, they did so without star striker Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker suffered a fractured leg against Tottenham in December.
It is not clear exactly how long Isak will be out for, but the 26-year-old has been a big miss.
He had just started to gel and find his feet in the Liverpool side after his record £125 million arrival from Newcastle.
But having been out for more than a month, some had hoped he may be nearing a return.
That doesn’t appear to be the case, though, with Arne Slot confirming Isak will be missing a while longer.
Arne Slot Provides Alexander Isak Injury Update
Speaking to the press on Friday morning, Slot has given an official update on Isak and other injured Liverpool stars.
Asked if Isak was nearing a possible return, the manager was clear the striker is a way off just yet.
⁉️ When will Alexander Isak be back?

“No, he is not even on the pitch yet,” said the Dutchman.
“He is just out of his walker and it is going to be a while before he is back.”
Regarding Jeremie Frimpong, Slot was more positive, but also confirmed he would not be fit for Liverpool’s next few games.
“He is not in the squad tomorrow [against Newcastle], he will be out for a few weeks, not as bad as we thought.”
Liverpool’s Injury Problems May Cause Issues At Right-Back
Elsewhere, Liverpool may struggle to fill the right-back role thanks to Conor Bradley’s injury.
The Northern Ireland international suffered a serious knee injury against Arsenal, and will be out for a lengthy spell after having surgery to fix the damage.
His absence means Liverpool may be forced to use Dominik Szoboszlai or Wataru Endo out of position.
Both have shown they are capable, but it is a less than ideal situation for Arne Slot.
Defensive injury problems have seen Liverpool linked to Dayot Upamecano in recent days, after missing out on Marc Guehi to Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate is back in training and available for the weekend, as will Curtis Jones.
Joe Gomez, however, will not play this weekend, but should be back soon.
