Jadon Sancho Agrees To Slash Manchester United Wage To Seal Serie A Switch

Jadon Sancho has made a drastic decision as he looks to seal a Manchester United exit this summer.

The England international, 25, is believed to be on his way out of Old Trafford after having a discussion with manager Ruben Amorim about his future.

The boss told Sancho that his time at United had come to an end and that he would be free to try and find a new club so long as the financial package from club to club suited the Red Devils.

Having signed for United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for around £73million, Sancho’s departure would see his club taking a massive hit in the pocket.

Jadon Sancho agrees to half wage demands to join AS Roma

And that is because AS Roma have reportedly struck an agreement to take the player to Serie A on a loan with an obligation to buy with the fee sitting at £20m.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Roma have reached a preliminary agreement with United and all that remains to be settled on is the player’s wage demands.

That is where Sancho’s willingness to move comes in and the attacking playmaker could make a big call on his next move if reports circulating this afternoon are to be believed.

According to reports, Sancho had initially been looking for a salary of around £115,000 per week but Roma would not go that high.

Instead the Italian giants – managed by Gian Piero Gasperini – have offered £75k per week and it is believed that Sancho is open to doing a deal for that number. That would slash his demands in half.

Sancho feels he has no long-term future at Manchester United

It would represent a clear desire from Sancho to leave Manchester United considering he is currently dealt in at the Theatre of Dreams on £250k per week.

United will also allow Alejandro Garnacho to leave the club and it is believed that Chelsea are closing in on the Argentinian’s signature.

The Blues are looking to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig as well as Garnacho and those incomings could be sealed so long as Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku leave Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had Sancho on loan last season where the player rebuilt his reputation, to an extent, but the London outfit opted against signing him on a permanent basis.

That came despite what was initially an obligation to buy.

It was reported last season that Chelsea decided to spend £5m as a penalty fee to get themselves out of the contractual obligation to bring Sancho in on a permanent basis.
