Juventus eye ambitious move for Liverpool star Alisson Becker in summer shake-up

Juventus are preparing for a significant overhaul of their squad this summer, with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker emerging as a primary target for the Italian giants.

According to reports from Italy, the Turin club is shifting its strategy away from gambles on young prospects in favor of proven, world class experience to help them return to the top of Serie A.

The plan is being spearheaded by sporting director Damien Comolli and manager Luciano Spalletti.

Following the renewal of Spalletti’s contract, the duo has identified a need for players with strong personalities and leadership qualities.

Alisson fits this profile perfectly, having worked under Spalletti previously during their time together at Roma before the Brazilian moved to the Premier League.

Why Juventus want Alisson

While Michele Di Gregorio has performed well, Spalletti is said to be keen on a goalkeeper who offers more than just shot stopping.

The Juventus boss views Alisson as one of the best in the world due to his ability to play out from the back and his commanding presence in the penalty area.

The logistics of the deal remain complicated. Alisson is currently 32 years old and although Liverpool have Giorgio Mamardashvili arriving to provide competition, the Reds are unlikely to let their number one go cheaply.

There is also the issue of wages, as the Brazilian currently earns a significant salary at Anfield. However, the lure of a return to Italy and the chance to lead a new era at Juventus could play a major role in negotiations.

Juventus want midfield and attack reinforcements

The interest in Alisson is just one part of a broader “instant team” strategy requested by Spalletti. In midfield, Juventus have set their sights on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Currently at Marseille, the Danish international is seen as an affordable leader who could provide much needed grit alongside Manuel Locatelli.

With a price tag of around 15 million Euros, he represents a realistic option for the Bianconeri.

Further up the pitch, the club is also monitoring the situation of Bernardo Silva.

The Manchester City playmaker is expected to leave the Etihad this summer and Juventus are reportedly in the mix for his signature, though they face stiff competition from Barcelona and potential interest from MLS.

A new era for Juventus

This summer represents a turning point for Juventus.

The club is moving away from the financial constraints that have limited them in recent years and is looking to provide Spalletti with the tools to challenge for the Scudetto immediately.

While names like Randal Kolo Muani are also being discussed for the forward line, the pursuit of a top tier goalkeeper like Alisson shows the level of ambition now present at the Allianz Stadium.

If Comolli can pull off these deals, the Italian top flight could see a very different Juventus side lining up next season.
