Liverpool star Mo Salah has returned to training this week after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Egyptian international Salah, 33, was pictured in training with his Anfield teammates on Tuesday.
It was another tournament of heartbreak for Salah and Egypt, who lost at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Senegal.
Egypt eventually finished fourth, after being beaten on penalties by Nigeria in the third place play-off.
Salah, along with his Liverpool teammates, is now back training with his club in preparation for Wednesday’s UEFA CHamp[ions League trip to Marseille.
Last month, Salah’s Liverpool future was thrown into doubt after an explosive fallout with manager Arne Slot.
The forward accused the club of “throwing him under the bus” as he was dropped for several games.
But Salah was reintegrated into the squad before he left for AFCON, and the matter is thought to be buried.
Arne Slot Welcomes Mo Salah Back After AFCON
Discussing Salah’s impending return, Arne Slot alluded to Liverpool’s availability issues.
“Even if I had 15 attackers I still would have been happy if he would have come back”, said Slot.
“But that’s not our current situation.”
Alexander Isak’s injury has reduced the attacking options available at Anfield.

And Hugo Ekitike has also suffered with fitness problems this month.
Salah may not be involved against Marseille on Wednesday, but his return is welcome nonetheless.
Liverpool sit ninth in the Champions League, with the top eight automatically progressing to the last 16.
A win in France is therefore vital if the Reds hope to avoid the play-off round.
How Much Does Mo Salah Still Have Left To Give At Liverpool?
With 250 goals in more than 400 appearances, Salah is already an all-time Liverpool legend.
The Egyptian King has helped his side to two Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph.
But despite signing a massive new deal last year, he has looked well below the level we have grown accustomed to.
At 33, he is entering the twilight of his career. Yet there is little to suggest he is physically fading just yet.

Salah’s drop in performance is more likely a symptom of Liverpool’s wider issues this season.
The defending champions have looked woeful at times, and a run of six defeats in seven earlier in the campaign effectively ended their title defence before it really began.
However, recent results have improved, and Liverpool remain in the top four.
They are unbeaten in 12, though they remain a distant 14 points below league leaders Arsenal.
There is no suggestion that Liverpool can recover enough to mount a late title charge.
But if Salah can regain some of his past form, they may at least be able to secure Champions League football for another season.
