Moises Caicedo Deletes Instagram Post After Sacking Agent He ‘Can’t Trust’

Moises Caicedo claims he has walked away from his agent as he wants representation he “can trust” in a now deleted Instagram post.

The Chelsea midfielder has been looked after by agent Manuel Sierra since before his move to Stamford Bridge which cost the Blues around £115million.

He joined from Brighton back in 2023 when he also had opposition to sign him from Liverpool.

The Reds were actually desperately close to landing the Ecuadorian international, 23, before a last minute change saw him swap Merseyside for London where he linked up with Chelsea.

And agent Sierra is believed to have had a big part to play in that decision.

Now it has emerged that Caicedo has cut ties with Sierra as he issued a pointed statement insisting he wanted to work with someone “he can trust” after moving to work with a sports lawyer as well as family.

Moises Caicedo leaves agent in ‘trust’ accusation

The post he shared on Instagram has since been deleted but it was live last night and read: “Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic.

“The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust.”

The suggestion regarding Mr Barat of Epic Sports seems to have also been knocked down with Caicedo informing punters he is not working with the super agent.

Caicedo has managed nine appearances this season so far in all competitions with three goals to his name but he has been playing with a slight knock.

Why Caicedo has left agency with Chelsea star swapping representation

That forced him to pull out of his country’s matches against the United States and Mexico. They drew vs the US and will face off against their other opponents in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The playmaker has become one of the English Premier League’s top talents at Chelsea under boss Enzo Maresca since his switch from the Seagulls.

It remains to be seen how this off field issue might affect Caicedo or his team as he does seem settled at his current club.

The man in the engine room is also still contracted until 2031 which means, in theory, his new agent and/or representatives should not have to deal too much with his future right now.

Of course, that could all change depending on his form as well as his desire to remain at the club for the duration of his deal.
