Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has emerged as a transfer target for several Premier League clubs.
The Ukrainian shot-stopper has starved for minutes, with Xabi Alonso preferring Thibaut Courtois in goal. He seeks a move to a team that can promise him consistent playing time.
Real Madrid hold the goalkeeper in high regard, but they are prepared to sell him for the right price in the January transfer window.
Lunin has only played 64 games for Real Madrid in all competitions. He has yet to play a single minute in LaLiga this season.
Real Madrid Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin Draws Premier League Interest
Andriy Lunin joined Real Madrid from Zorya Lugansk in 2018, the same summer Thibaut Courtois moved to the Santiago Bernabeu. He has since been on three loan spells in search of minutes, but Madrid have been reluctant to entertain offers of a permanent transfer.
According to Fichajes.net, Lunin has reached a turning point in his professional career and no longer wants to serve as Courtois’ understudy.
Real Madrid have always valued his professionalism and would not deny him a move if a lucrative offer arrives in the January transfer window.
Tottenham, Nottingham, and Brighton Eyeing Move for Lunin
According to the aforementioned report, three Premier League teams have shown the most interest in signing Andriy Lunin.
Thomas Frank’s side are unhappy with Guglielmo Vicario’s performances this season and believe Lunin would be a worthy upgrade in the January window.
Their resolve has only been strengthened after Vicario’s underwhelming display in the 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth on Wednesday.

He did not make any saves and conceded three goals from an xG of 1.47.
Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion are excited by the opportunity of signing a player who has played at the highest level.
They also admire his ability with the ball, considering it a non-negotiable asset for their starting goalkeeper.
Real Madrid Want a Sizable Fee for Lunin
Manchester United reportedly wanted to sign Lunin in the summer transfer window. However, their offer fell short of Real Madrid’s expectations.
With Lunin pushing for a move, Real Madrid are more open to proposals this January. Los Blancos reportedly want €25 million for the goalkeeper, which is €10 million more than Transfermarkt’s projected valuation.
Real Madrid feel their asking price is reasonable considering the current state of the Premier League market.
The club reportedly want to use the funds from Lunin’s sale to solve their midfield issues. Real Madrid have identified two midfield targets and are set to make a big effort to sign them in the summer.
