A Spurs fan has reportedly been banned indefinitely after a controversial social media post about Daniel Levy.
Tottenham Hotspur have allegedly issued an indefinite stadium and club ban to the supporter following their post on X aimed at the club chairman.
The post in question, shared on X (formerly Twitter), reportedly stated, “If I was in a room with Daniel Levy and Hitler and had two bullets, I’d shoot Levy twice.”
Some online claims suggest the message may have included an image of a gun. The fan later described the remark as a “joke” and “out of frustration” but confirmed he had received an official ban from the club.
Tottenham Bans Fan for Daniel Levy Post
A screenshot of an email, allegedly sent by Tottenham, was shared on Instagram by a friend of the banned Spurs fan, explaining the reasoning behind the punishment.
The message states the fan’s post constituted “a malicious communication” and a “Level 4 offence” under the club’s Sanctions and Banning Policy.
According to the email, the ban is “indefinite” but will be eligible for review on 3 September 2028. It applies to all matches, club premises, and related events.
The club also noted that fans subject to disciplinary measures may appeal if they believe there has been a procedural error or if new evidence emerges.
Banned Spurs Fan Statement
The supporter in question, identifying himself as David, released a statement via social media on Wednesday afternoon.
He claimed he received the ban at 3:19pm on 3 September 2025, and considers the decision “extremely harsh,” but takes “full responsibility” for the post.
He apologised for the remarks, adding: “It was a joke said in the moment and out of frustration for decisions made by the club’s hierarchy.”

David also emphasised that, despite the punishment, he will “always love and support” Tottenham Hotspur. He announced he would release a further statement on Friday.
Tottenham Fans Reaction
The incident sparked debate online, with many fans split on whether the ban was justified.
On Reddit, one supporter commented: “There’s obviously no serious intent behind it, but, yeah, not a good idea to post that.”
Another argued the club was right to act, noting: “It’s a slippery slope from a joke to someone taking it too seriously.”
On X, one fan said, “who is this? what an idiot, deserves the ban!”, while another bluntly expressed, “Can’t imagine many places letting someone in after they’d said they’d shoot the owner to be fair”.
While the club has not publicly commented on the case, the ban is reportedly in place until at least 2028, subject to review. If the fan does choose to appeal, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will reconsider the sanction.
