Leeds United have made an enquiry for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen amid Premier League transfer interest.
No formal bid has been submitted at this stage and there is no guarantee the interest develops into a deal.
Leeds are operating within the constraints of Premier League financial rules and are aware of competition for the striker’s signature, but sources indicate their admiration for the 25-year-old has now been clearly communicated.
Leeds transfer news
Strand Larsen has been on the radar of several top-flight clubs this season.
Nottingham Forest explored a potential move earlier this month after Chris Wood underwent knee surgery that is expected to keep him sidelined for months.
The Wolves striker featured on a four-man shortlist, though Forest ultimately prioritised a move for Olympiacos forward Mehdi Taremi.
West Ham also registered interest in December as they looked to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s attacking options, particularly following Niclas Fullkrug’s loan move to AC Milan.
Since then, the Hammers have added Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe, reducing their need to pursue further reinforcements.
Leeds, meanwhile, completed the loan signing of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton on Thursday to add creativity in the final third.
There is no expectation that Joel Piroe will leave Elland Road during this window.
Strand Larsen transfer latest
Wolves fought off interest in Strand Larsen last summer, rejecting approaches from Newcastle before agreeing a new long-term contract with the Norway international.
That deal runs until June 2030 and includes the option of a further 12-month extension.
The current campaign has been a challenging one for both player and club, with Wolves sitting bottom of the Premier League table and Strand Larsen scoring just once in 19 league appearances.
However, there have been signs of improvement in recent weeks.
The striker rediscovered his scoring touch with a hat-trick against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup third round, while Wolves claimed their first league victory of 2026 against West Ham on January 3.
Whether Leeds’ enquiry leads to anything more concrete remains uncertain, but Strand Larsen’s situation is one to watch as the window progresses and Elland Road chiefs weigh up their next move.
Should he leave, Wolves are already lining up a Strand Larsen replacement, having sounded out Hibernian over the availability of Kieron Bowie.
