Why Man Utd will favour another home win against Liverpool in three weeks

Manchester United sealed a memorable 4-3 success against Liverpool on Sunday in the FA Cup quarter final.

The Reds looked on the brink of victory after Harvey Elliott put them ahead in the 105th minute, but Marcus Rashford scored the equaliser to make a massive comeback.

Then, substitute Amad Diallo fired the winning goal deep in extra time to spark wild celebrations at Old Trafford.

A hugely challenging contest for the hosts was the prediction by Man Utd news, but Erik ten Hag’s side prevailed in the end due to their great fighting spirit.

Opportunity to spoil Klopp’s party plans again

Manchester United have a slim chance of securing a Champions League berth this season as they currently find themselves an incredible nine points off the top-four.

However, they will be keen to win all their remaining matches, hoping to displace Tottenham Hotspur for the fifth spot.

This is because there will potentially be an extra Champions League spot up for grabs, with an extra space offered to the most successful leagues in Europe at the end of the season.

Manchester United fixtures show they will host Liverpool once again in three weeks following their matches against Brentford and Chelsea.

Besides Champions League football, Erik ten Hag’s side will also have the extra motivation of landing a significant blow to Liverpool’s Premier League title aspirations.

With only a point currently separating the top three sides in the English league, the Reds have no margin for error.

The Old Trafford encounter in three weeks time could be crucial for Jurgen Klopp’s side in securing their 19th top-flight title.

But for the Red Devils, who have spoiled Klopp’s party once by knocking them out of the FA Cup, they will have another opportunity to perform such a feat again.
