Bayern Munich run rings around Napoli

What a game this was! Mario Gomez netting a hat-trick before half time. Although Napoli had there fair share of goals as well with Federico Fernandez putting two past Manuel Neuer, one on the stroke of half time and another on the 79th minute. Mario Gomez played a very good game, whilst Napoli’s world class striker Edinson Cavani was the flop of the match, having a really poor performance, another surprise was the disappointing game had by Marek Hamsik, but i guess its a one off for both players. Both sides picked up red cards and multiple yellows, the game was still pretty fair with ten men on each side.

Bayern had 17 shots and 11 of them were on goal compared to Napoli’s total of only 7 and 3 on goal. Napoli committed 18 fouls but Bayern were not far away with 17. Bayern had 66% of the possession compared to Napoli’s very low of 34%, so basically Bayern were running rings around the Napoli players. Napoli’s goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis was their top player pulling off eight saves, basically stopping anymore going into the goal. Frank Ribery got replaced by David Abala and Bastian Schweinsteiger got replaced by Anatoliy Tymoschuk. Goran Pandev and Andrea Dossena replaced Salvatore Aronica and Blerim Dzemaili, but changes from both teams did not change the score-line.

In the end Bayern Munich made a name for themselves and could possibly be Champions League Finals contenders.
