Gio: We Can Get a Result

After Tottenham’s opening two matches of the season left a lot to be desired; Juande Ramos now turns his attention to the first big London derby of the season, with Tottenham travelling to Stamford Bridge, a ground where no away team has won a League match since February 2004. Meanwhile, Dimitar Berbatov still hasn’t secured his move to Old Trafford, and Juande Ramos is as of yet undecided about whether he will include the Bulgarian in the squad for Sunday’s match.

Roman Pavlyuchenko is in London finalising the deal which will take him to White Hart Lane, but probably will not start the match against Chelsea. Giovani Dos Santos, however, still beleives that Spurs can get their first points of the season on Sunday. It is special for Gio, as he will play against his former team-mate, Deco, and he said:

“Deco is a very good player. I know him well and I think he’s one of the best in the world in his position.

“It’s no surprise for me that he’s come to England and has made an instant impression on Chelsea.

“They are a very strong side with good players. But if we play with confidence and work hard for each other, we can get a result.

“It’s a big game for the Club and a special one for me because it’s my first London derby, so I’m hoping we can get a good result.

“It will be a new experience for me and the fans will be very passionate, so we need to repay them with a good performance.”

Dos Santos started the opening game of the season, but had to settle for 30 minutes against Sunderland. He is looking exciting and promises huge things this season.
