Tottenham 2009/2010 Squad Numbers

With our 2009/2010 campaign set to begin with a home clash against Liverpool, our squad numbers for the coming season have been released by the club.

New boy Peter Crouch will wear the number 15 shirt, whilst defender Sebastien Bassong has been allocated the number 19. Our other big summer signing, young Kyle Naughton, will wear number 16.

After being bought back by the club last season, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe both re-claim their old shirts. Keane is back wearing the number ten and Defoe will be strutting his stuff in the number 18 shirt.

These number changes will no doubt anger Spurs fans who recently bought one of the new club shirts off Kitbag, who are still selling the shirts with the old numbers.

Unlike the start of last year, Kevin-Prince Boateng has been allocated a shirt number (28), signalling his return to the first team. Ramos seemingly told the player he had no future at the club, but Redknapp feels the midfielder can provide good back up to Luka Modric and Sergeant Palacios.
