Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso is believed to be negotiating a contract with Juventus today. Liverpool are said that are on the hot trail of Villa’s midfielder Gareth Barry and this seems to fuel the fact that Alonso will depart the Reds. Juve are offering around €13.5 million for the Spanish Midfielder however Liverpool are looking to get around 16 million from him. Real Madrid were also said to be in the hunt for Xabi Alonso but no substantial offer came in and so it is clear that Juve are the clear favourites to sign him.
