Bilić closed training sessions

After yesterday’s rough day things are slowly getting into routine. The coach Slaven Bilić worked with the players one training session. The morning one was canceled because of bad weather. It’s not hard for the players to come to the field, they only have to make few steps from hotel. Slaven yesterday decided that all training sessions, by the game with Austria, will be closed. But he’s not the only one. Also the Polish and Austrians decided to close their training sessions.

“It’s not that we’re hiding things, except if we’re doing corners and freekicks. The closed training session is more for players not to lose concentration. If there are 1000 people, and if they sing than it’s not that peaceful atmosphere of the training. That’s why trainings are, even in the world, closed”, said Bilić.

Yesterday afternoon Bilić held a press conference in Croatian camp in which they will stay during the Euro. He thanked the host on the great organization and conditions which meet them in this small town, accenting that the team is fully concentrated on the soon start of the championship.

“Preparations are going according to the plan and we are eagerly waiting the start of the competition. We are focusing on ourselves and we made everything as we’ve planned”, added Bilić, but he didn’t wanted to talk about the matches against Germany and Poland: “In our heads is only Austria”, he said.

On the question of the Polish journalist if he believes that this team can go all the way to the end, Bilić was clear: “All 16 coaches who are on this championship believe or at least hope that they can go all the way, and so do I. we weren’t called up for this tournament, but we’ve earned our place by our plays on the field. We are prepared very well and we are waiting for the first match ready. We build optimism on the quality of our players”.

Bilić commented the most dangerous Austrian player Andreas Ivanschitz: “Last few games he started on the right side, but wasn’t staying there. He’s got the freedom to go anywhere and he is exceptionally dangerous”, noted Bilić.
