Arsenal fans are dreaming of the quadruple after seeing their side beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
That match had been billed as a battle between the two best teams in world football and Arsenal emerged as 3-1 winners, despite missing several senior stars through injury. Arsenal were without Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres, while captain Martin Odegaard only featured as a late substitute.
The victory left the Gunners three points clear at the top of the Champions League table after five of eight game weeks, while they currently hold a six-point lead in the Premier League following 12 rounds of fixtures.
Arsenal — who are second in the all-time Premier League table — are also still in contention in the Carabao Cup, having seen off Port Vale and Brighton to book a home quarter-final clash with Crystal Palace two days before Christmas.
Their FA Cup campaign will begin in the third round over the second weekend in January.

Arsenal fans believe in quadruple dream after beating Bayern Munich
“There’s no team in Europe right now that is better than Arsenal. This is the perfect time for Arsenal to do the double, treble, or quadruple!”
Those were the words of one Gunners supporter on X following Wednesday’s win over Bayern Munich.
Another bullish fan added: “Tonight’s was a statement win, a win that sent shockwaves through Europe. I see an Arsenal quadruple loading this season. We are unstoppable, unplayable. This is who we are.”
Hundreds of other Arsenal fans also pointed to the possibility of Mikel Arteta’s men completing a clean sweep this season, with many of them declaring: “Quadruple loading”.
But it was not only Arsenal fans talking about their quadruple chances online after Wednesday’s win. Some supporters of rival clubs admitted that they feared the Gunners might win all four major trophies this season.
One Chelsea fan tweeted: “It hurts to say this. I genuinely feel Arsenal might be the first club to do the quadruple.”
A Spurs supporter added: “Our couple of months saying ‘Warra trophy’ on loop to Arsenal fans after enduring years of the same in the other direction is now going to be punished with them doing the quadruple, isn’t it?”
Has an English club won the quadruple before?
Manchester United and Manchester City have both previously won four trophies in a single season.
United won the Premier League, Club World Cup, League Cup and Community Shield in the 2008/09 campaign, before City lifted the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield in 2018/19.
Meanwhile, Liverpool won five trophies in 2001 — the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Charity Shield — although that haul was spread across two seasons.
However, none of the impressive feats above are the standard definition of ‘the quadruple’, which is supposed to comprise of a team winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup all in the same season.
No English club to date has ever achieved what is considered to be the proper quadruple — a fact that makes Arsenal’s dreams of completing it even more exciting for fans.

What do the bookmakers say about Arsenal’s quadruple chances?
Arsenal are odds-on favourites to win the Premier League, with most bookmakers pricing them around 1/2.
Bookies also rate the Gunners as 15/4 favourites to win the Champions League and make them the most likely Carabao Cup winners at 9/4.
However, Arsenal are only third favourites to lift the FA Cup, priced at 6/1 behind Liverpool (5/1) and Manchester City (5/1) in the betting.
Those FA Cup odds perhaps suggest that bookies think Arsenal might not try as hard as Liverpool or City to win the FA Cup, considering what else Mikel Arteta’s side will have on their plate in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
Odds and implied probability of Arsenal winning the quadruple
Based on the above, if you were to create an accumulator on Arsenal to win each of the four major trophies they are competing for, then the combined odds would be slightly more than 161/1 — an implied probability of 0.62%.
One bookmaker is currently offering an 80/1 “special” on Arsenal winning the quadruple. Those odds suggest an implied probability of 1.23%, but that looks terribly underpriced based on the odds available on Arsenal to win each individual trophy.
| Trophy | Odds | Implied probability |
|---|---|---|
| Premier League | 1/2 | 66.67% |
| Champions League | 15/4 | 21.05% |
| Carabao Cup | 9/4 | 30.77% |
| FA Cup | 6/1 | 14.29% |
| Quadruple (Accumulator) | 161/1 | 0.62% |
| Quadruple (“Special” odds) | 80/1 | 1.23% |
Will 2025/26 be Arsenal’s best season ever?
Even if Arsenal fall short of the quadruple, the 2025/26 campaign has serious potential to be the club’s best ever season.
The Gunners won the Premier League and FA Cup double in 1997/98 and 2001/02, but they have never been champions of Europe.
Winning the Champions League and nothing else would arguably make this season Arsenal’s best ever. But if they were to win the Premier League along with Europe’s top prize then this would undisputedly be the most successful season in the club’s storied history.
