Arsenal headed to the Riverside to battle it out with Middlesbrough to put their title hopes back on track.
The Gunners were nervous at the beginning of the match but were able to catch out a sleepy Boro defense with Emmanuel Adebayor putting a nice header into the net from Captain Cesc’s corner in the 14th minute.
The Gunners got going early and looked to dominate proceedings after getting an early lead but Jeremie Aliadiere the former Arsenal player had other ideas putting a header of his own into the path of shocker keeper Almunia who had no idea that went nicely into the net.
The game was in Arsenal favour but they couldn’t finish their chances and had another disappointing result making it that little bit harder to win the title.
Final score 1-1 at the riverside.
It really continues a poor run of form for the Gunners who narrowly beat Kiev and Wigan 1-0 had an impressive win against Chelsea and a disappointing draw with Boro they need to perform against Liverpool to continue the slight title hopes and restore some confidence.
